Artist Statement:
My continued interest in using fiber to create dimensional work eventually led me to experiment with heavier spun fibers, such as commercial yarn, in traditional knitting and crocheting techniques to express movement and depth in my decorative and wearable fiber creations. I continually challenge myself to use traditional materials, techniques and methods but create unexpected artwork. My newest creations involve knitting, crocheting and weaving with wool yarns that are then put through a process that makes them firm and. completely hides the stitches making it difficult or impossible to determine what technique was used in the creation of the pieces.
