Join us at 108|Contemporary for an exclusive workshop led by award-winning Oglala Lakota artist Molly Murphy Adams. Participants will learn heritage techniques while beading a versatile charm that can be used as a keychain, bag accessory, thumb drive wrangler, or lanyard fob. Open to all skill levels, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore their creative side in a fun and supportive environment.
Molly Murphy Adams’ work has been featured in exhibitions across the country, as well as on the big screen and red carpets (see if you can spot her pieces in Killers of the Flower Moon or Reservoir Dogs!). She has a wealth of knowledge about historical beading and bead-making, and her lively and humorous approach guarantees you’ll laugh as much as you learn.
Participants are encouraged to bring personal odds and ends to incorporate into their charms. Finally, a use for that solitary button you’ve been holding onto for years! Ticket price includes all supplies needed to craft your mini masterpiece. Wine will be available for purchase.
