Event Dates

October 1 - November 21, 2021, 12PM-5PM

Anita Fields and Molly Murphy Adams are both Oklahoma-based, Native Tulsa Artist Fellows who have joined forces to present The Space Between. Their use of various techniques and mediums combines to create a visually stunning and thematically inspired display. Concepts of culture, pattern, color and rich craft traditions explored using contemporary methods merge with deep personal meaning. Murphy Adams uses inventive beading and embroidery techniques that bridge the gap between fiber work and mixed media. Fields is recognized for her ceramic sculptures but also uses fiber techniques in her Native regalia inspired artwork. With a survey collection of each artists’ work this exhibition is sure to captivate the senses and connect on a personal level.

This project is generously funded by Osage Nation Foundation, Flint Family Foundation, Tulsa Artist Fellowship, Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the state arts agencies of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.
