As part of our lecture series, we are excited to welcome Kat Cole for this talk. Cole, a practicing artist in Dallas, Texas, finds meaning through the observance and intimate awareness of places. Her work is made from porcelain enamel and steel, both predominantly used on an industrial scale.
Cole received an MFA from East Carolina University and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth. She co-founded Jewelry Edition: Traveling Pop-Up Gallery for Early Career Artists. Her work has been widely published in journals and books, including Ornament Magazine, Metalsmith Magazine, Art Jewelry Today and 500 Enameled Objects. The collections at the Museum of Arts and Design, New York; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Enamel Foundation, Los Angeles include her work.
