Casey Marshall is an Arkansas-born artist with a focus on crafting stringed instruments, specifically cigar box guitars and canjos. His hobby began in early 2017–2018 after discovering his first cigar box guitar at a local craft show. After crafting his first dozen guitars, he had a conversation with his wife where she asked when he would sell his guitars. He replied with, “When pigs fly.” Marshall later launched his own business in Little Rock, Arkansas called “Flying Pig Guitars.” His one-of-a-kind guitars are made from locally sourced materials which include hardwood, vintage tin cans & lunchboxes, cigar boxes, and fully sanitized bedpans. His one string canjos, typically marketed towards children, are made from “just about anything.”
