108|Contemporary is excited to present the work of Carrie Iverson and Jeremy Scidmore in a duo exhibition on view February 5 – March 20, 2027. Unified by a shared interest in material research and industrial processes, their work draws on archival materials both as
technical inspiration and as a lens through which to reflect on the complexities of the archive itself.

About the artists:
Jeremy Scidmore
Jeremy received his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and later returned to SAIC to study Arts Administration and Policy. While in Chicago he became committed to the idea of art as activism, developing and advising an array of community-based programs for underserved neighborhoods. His concurrent personal art practice has covered a wide array of glass media (neon, hot glass, kilnforming, glass printing), as well as installation, video, and sound.
Carrie Iverson
Born and raised in rural Virginia, Carrie received her BA from Yale University and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Known for her innovative use of materials, her site-responsive installations have incorporated glass, print, found objects, video, and sound. As part of her studio experiments, Iverson developed a unique process combining traditional lithography with image-making in glass. She has subsequently continued to develop this process in her work and to teach it at studios in the US and internationally.
