Volunteers Needed! Calling Crochet Folks!
108 Contemporary is leading another I Can’t Crochet workshop in the TCC McKeon Center for Creativity on Saturday, February 8 at 10:00 am. We need your help!
We’ll be guiding participants through crocheting a small heart shape. The overall goal is to show participants how to work in the round (a request from TCC), and how to read patterns. We’ll be using a magic ring/magic circle, 5 different stitches including double and treble crochet, and discuss increases and decreases for those who want to make their hearts larger.
TCC will have our Program Director, Laurel Ryan, stationed at the front of the room so that her hands can be projected onto a big screen. You and other volunteers will distribute yourselves at the 9 tables as coaches and scissor wranglers. 108 will provide aprons to identify you as helpers, yarn and 6mm hooks to demonstrate stitches, and thread snips. All available 75 slots have been filled, so we anticipate a packed house!
Please contact Laurel Ryan at laurel@108contemporary.org by Thursday, February 7 to volunteer and receive the pattern in advance.
See you Saturday, February 8, at 10:00am at the Center for Creativity!
